Reflection

I have enjoyed this class immensely. There are so many technology resources out there that I was not even aware of. Some of my favorite lessons were the Presentation on Professional Organizations, the Technology Lesson Demonstration, and the Web-Based Assessment. For the Presentation on Professional Organizations, I had never heard of ISTE. I have been a member of some Professional Organizations, but none were as put together as the ISTE website. Their site was easy to navigate and there was a lot of useful information about using technology in the classroom. I would love to attend one of their seminars as well! From this lesson, the article that I plan to use in future classrooms is the article called “5 Tips for Making Digital Learning Accessible to All Students” by Krueger (2022). The article discussed assistive technology tools that you can use in the classroom. Assistive Technology Discussion

While student teaching and in my own classroom, we used technology mostly during small groups. Roblyer and Hughes (2019) talk about using blended learning in the classroom, and one way to incorporate blended learning is to use a rotation model. This allows teachers to meet the needs of all students because they will receive individualized instruction on computers, while also getting instruction from the teacher in a smaller group size. Blended learning allows for teachers to personalize the technology used in classrooms to meet the needs of students as well. One technology that I have observed being used in the classroom to meet the needs of all students is iReady, which is a personalized learning and assessment program. Students would work on this during small group time. Roblyer and Hughes (2019) also discu...

My lesson plan used the following standards: “ELAGSE2W3 Write narratives in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.” (Georgia Department of Education, 2015, p. 16) and “ELAGSE2W6 With guidance and support from adults, use a variety of tools to produce and publish writing, including digital tools and collaboration with peers” (Georgia Department of Education 2015, p. 17). Rubric   Proficient 25 points Emerging 19 points Beginning 13 points Sequence of Events The student has a clear sequence of events, and the events are in order. The sequence of events is clear but are out of order. The sequence of events is unclear and out of order. Details of Actions, Thoughts, and Fe...
